With seven days to show off New Zealand to you, we’ve hand picked a selection of fantastic places to rest your head on our Pure South Essential South Island Tour.

Aoraki Alpine Lodge

Aoraki Alpine lodge

Set in the heart of Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, the lodge is ideally situated for exploring the National Park’s many walks. The Mount Cook village itself is a lovely spot to enjoy the views with a barista-made coffee or visit the Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre museum and planetarium. An internationally recognised Dark Sky Reserve, the night sky here is truly outstanding with myriads of stars visible to the naked eye. You’ll sleep well tonight in a comfortable ensuite room.

Matai Lodge (Te Anau)

Matai Lodge Te Anau

This modern lodge is situated close to the Lake in Te Anau and with its dining facilities and communal areas it’s perfect for small groups like ours. The rooms are neat and well presented, perfect for a relaxing night’s sleep. You’re close enough to walk into the quirky town of Te Anau, the gateway to Milford Sound, and down to the lake.
