We treat the security of information provided by our clients with the greatest importance. However, you should be aware that there are always security issues surrounding the transmission of data on the Internet. We assure our clients that we use all available methods to ensure the privacy of your personal information, but we cannot guarantee 100% security. We have implemented firewalls, data encryption systems and other security measures in order to provide the highest level of security.

Cookies are use to gather data and information from users of many websites, including ours; they are used as analysis tools and help provide a more personal service to individual users. Third Party Usage

Our site may include links to other, third-party, sites over which we have no control. Please note that this Privacy Policy does not cover those sites, and any information you provide that is used by third party sites – generally in relation to travel reservations – is subject to the privacy policy pertaining to that company. We can accept no liability for actions or policies relating to third party sites, and we hereby adviser our customers to read the privacy policies pertaining to them as there may be many differences.

Access and Correction

Should you wish, you can ask for, and receive, all information that is held about you under the New Zealand Privacy Act, 1993, and we will be happy to provide you with any personally identifiable information we have access to, and to explain what we use it for. Please be advised a fee may be applicable.

New Zealand Trails Credit Card Security Policy

New Zealand Trails uses the DPS Payment Express Payment Gateway for online credit card transactions.  DPS processes online credit cards transactions for thousands of merchants globally, providing a safe and secure online payment service. Payments are processed in real time.  New Zealand Trails does not have access to your full card number, this credit card payment is secured by DPS.  DPS have bank grade security.  All transaction details are stored in their PCI-DSS compliant Data Centre. This Privacy and Security policy was first written in 2013 and has been amended regularly since. The latest amendment date was 2 August 2021. New Zealand Trails reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time, and by using the website you agree to abide by any revisions as and when they are posted. We are not required to advise users of any changes prior to amendment.
