Hiking Tour New Zealand

Greetings from New Zealand.

Although it was only a few short months ago we were enjoying hiking in sunshine in the great New Zealand outdoors, winter is now making it's presence felt here with a massive early season snowfall over much of the South Island last week.  If you are in the northern hemisphere you will no doubt be looking forward to summer, we are indeed jealous.

In this month's newsletter:

  • New Zealand Trails special offersWhat's the best time for hiking in New Zealand?
  • Availability update for 2014/2015
  • Meet your NZ Trails guides - Marilyn Somerville
  • Our favourite NZ hiking photos of 2013/2014

With under six months to go until the start of the walking season we've been talking to a lot of you recently about your 2014/2015 New Zealand travel and are really looking forward to meeting you in a few months.  For those of you still in the planning phase, we look forward to talking to you too to discuss your 'walking' holiday plans.

Happy hiking!

2014/2015 Availability Update - Some departures almost full

Since the start of the year we've had a steady stream of bookings for 2014/15 trips and in recent weeks this has really picked up too.  Travelling in small groups makes for a great experience but it does mean trips can fill up very quickly sometimes, we certainly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Our 17 November, 22 December, 5 January and 16 March trips now only have a small number of seats remaining on each of these departures.

From Marilyn:
Getting into the heart of New Zealand's World Heritage parks in our small group tours is a fantastic way to see, learn, walk and experience the best of our place. Days spent discovering this wonderful countryside and sharing its natural history gems with guests on our trips is what I love doing most of all and I look forward to meeting you here soon.

Our favourite New Zealand Hiking photos from the 2013/2014 Season

Looking back on various photos from last season it really struck me what a wonderful run of weather we had and how many great travel memories were made on our small group tours.  It's hard to pick highlights but the beautiful Paparoa National Park, Kawarau River in Queenstown and of course the one and only Hollyford Valley look fantastic in photographs.  If you looking for inspiration for your trip to New Zealand this gallery will be bound to help.  Please enjoy and share with your friends.
